My Top 3 Drugstore Foundations

I've always stuck to No7 foundation throughout my make up loving years however a few weeks ago I decided to give a selection of drugstore foundations a go to see if going for slightly cheaper alternatives made much of a difference. Turns out a few of these foundations actually work wonders on my skin so I've picked my top 3 from those I purchased to talk about.

This is the lightest foundation of all 3 but provides a great, even coverage. The pigmentation isn't amazing but the texture and easy application makes it perfect for those confident days when you're skin is looking fresh and clear. I've been using this a lot throughout the summer because it allows your skin to breathe without moving or streaking on your face. The colour I have this foundation in is 'Ivory' which I've found is a great colour match for me. The foundation also has an SPF of 17 which is perfect for me! This foundation ticks all the boxes for a light, even and breathable foundation: providing what feels like a new top layer of skin that stays throughout the day without caking or slipping. It is also only £9.99 which is a great price for just how great this product looks and feels on the skin.

This foundation is the smoothest foundation I've ever used! It is titled to be 'Primer, Concealer and Foundation in one' which I can absolutely believe, when putting it on it glides onto my skin as if I have a base of primer and covers the darker areas or blemishes on my skin perfectly. I purchased this foundation in the colour 'Beige 55'. This foundation would be perfect as a first foundation for people just getting into make up; the consistency is smooth yet buildable but not cakey or drying. This foundation offers a high SPF of 20 which is unusual with a lot of drug store foundations. This foundation is a great quality product for a fantastic price of £12.99.

My favourite out of three has got to be this one: everything about it ticks all my personal boxes! The colour, coverage, staying power, breathability, SPF and even the smell! My colour is 010 Porcelain and I honestly cannot get enough of it! This foundation brightens my skin, covers all my dark circles and imperfections but isn't heavy or cakey. I feel like this is the only foundation of the three I can feel going onto my face but after a light powdering you can't feel it on your skin. I would recommend this foundation to anyone and at only £8.99 its a bargain!

Set For Summer 2015

This year I have an amazingly long summer ahead with a 12 week break, I finished exams a few weeks ago and don't start back until September so I want to make this summer worth every minute, making the most of all the time I have to myself and to develop this blog and my work further!

I'm very excited for the new chapter of my life in September as I start college to study exactly what I've been dreaming of for a long time now to get me even closer my dream job in journalism. Of course I'm slightly apprehensive and nervous, to start at a college where there are a whole new group of people around me, but I'm more excited than anything as I will be able to extend my group of friends even more.

I recently sat 14 examinations in order to get the grades I need to get into college to get onto the courses I want to do including English Language, Media and Sociology, so the break away from studying will be much appreciated but at the same time I will be working hard to prepare for college and also in my day job to earn some extra money to fund my summer this year!

WHAT DO I WANT TO DO THIS SUMMER?

  • BBQs and lots of them!
  • Concerts and Gigs - I've already started with 5SOS which I posted a blog post on here
  • City Trips - I'm planning to revisit London again (read about my last visit in my last post) and also hopefully Birmingham and Liverpool as I love the vibrant city life
  • Prom!! I'm on the prom committee at my school this year and prom preparations have got me extremely excited for the big day - I may even do a blog post afterwards all about my experience, hair, make up, travel and of course plenty of pictures!
  • Beach Trips
  • Theme Parks - I may possibly be planning this very soon
  • V-Festival!
  • Parties with friends and family for a number of reasons including birthdays and 'just because'
  • Finish my piercings - I haven't got loads and I don't plan on having an excessive amount because I don't think I can handle the pain but there are just two more I want
  • Most importantly to me... catching up with friends and keeping in close contact with friends I will part ways with now we've finished school
I have already started summer; with a concert, a city trip, several catch up dates with a few of my close friends and a party already complete, but there is so much I still want to do and I am beyond excited to do them all and document every moment on my blog for all of the internet to see! What do you want to do this summer? Who with? Why? Leave a comment below if you want to share!

Until next time, Toni. xo

June London Trip.

It's amazing how much I love this city, honestly I never want to leave! I recently came on a quick trip with a friend for a concert and we decided to make a weekend of it and stay over and spend our day in London shopping and exploring the side streets of Oxford Street and China Town.

I can't say a lot about the day other than we shopped until we dropped - literally dropped into our seats to eat and then continued shopping - but I wanted to post some pictures I managed to capture whilst walking around.

The most beautiful and picturesque city in the world is London for me and I honestly love everything about it, these pictures can never express how much I love the city or the people but I can only hope they can show the unique and vibrant, beautiful lifestyle.

5SOS Concert Wembley - 12/06/2015.

I've been a big fan of the band for a few years now after initially discovering 5 Seconds Of Summer on twitter and Youtube, so to be able to watch them grow as people and as a band with their success and fan base has been amazing.

I've seen them live several times before but this concert on their ROWYSO tour was the best so far, being able to see them perform in Wembley Arena was honestly unbelievable because I never imagined their careers would excel so rapidly. I am unbelievably proud of the boys and what they have achieved so far and I'm excited to see what is yet to come from the once small Australian band, who are now huge and worldwide.

I thought I would do a quick blog post to share some pictures I took at the show and allow myself chance to document and remember this concert forever, as one of the most eye opening for me that success can happen so quickly and in such a life changing way.

I will continue to support and watch the band's shows and videos and tweets develop and grow into even more success as that is all I wish for them.

5 Things I Love About The iPhone 6.

I have been a huge fan of all apple products for around 4 years now and I have had the iPhone 3G, 4S and now the iPhone 6 and I am a bigger fan than ever!

The model I own now is the 64GB iPhone 6 in the regular size, in the colour space grey. Not only did I instantly fall in love with the colour and the overall appearance of the phone, I knew straight away I had to have the 64GB as all the phones I have owned in the past I have struggled for storage space and I've found myself having to delete my own media to allow for an iOS update.

Things I Love:

1. The screen size! In the past, the screen has not filled the surface of the phone it does now and I've always wondered why, this phone's surface area is mainly the touch screen meaning it displays things so much bigger and of better quality.

2. The camera quality. I know phones will never have the equivalent quality of a camera but I found with this model the quality from previous apple products has improved dramatically! Even the front camera automatically lightens the picture and focuses straight away without having to tap to find the face or zoom in and out several times to get it the way I want. I especially love the slow-motion and time lapse camera settings.

3. Light weight! I have never had a phone so big and so light all at the same time, everything is so packed into such a thin yet large phone it is surprising how little it weighs when resting in your hand. Comparing it to my old phones really emphasises the difference.

4. The curved edges and smooth back. It is such a lovely feeling phone when resting in your hand, although it was a huge size increase from my iPhone 4s, I have quickly adapted due to the smooth metal and rounded edges making it so easy to move around in your hands and use. Also, I found the back doesn't get as hot as the previous apple products I have owned when it is on charge at the same time I am using it. This is a big help as I used to have to stop using my old phone when it got too hot as it would start to burn my hand!

5. The overall design and look of the phone! I have had so many compliments about how lovely the phone looks, the way the home button blends into the front of the phone, the smaller buttons, thinner build, nicer colour, bigger camera, better speaker quality and clearer microphone.

I honestly think that this is the best product apple have created yet and I am extremely happy to have invested in one.
I hope this has helped anyone wanting help and advice on whether to opt for the phone or not, I would highly recommend the phone to anyone who has or hasn't had an apple product in the past, the changes and improvements stand out dramatically and it is super user friendly!

Until next time, Toni. xo
